James and Elaine were blessed today with THE most glorious day for a wedding. The outdoor ceremony was held at Ardoe House Hotel, Aberdeenshire setting the scene for a picture-perfect day. Bridesmaids Lyn, Isla and Faith-Maree looked gorgeous and were ably supported by best-man Jason and groomsmen David and Dale. Naomi and Leah rounded off this delicious bunch of people! :-) Thanks to James and Elaine for letting me be part of their special day, and I wish them all the best for their honeymoon in the Seychelles!

Aaron, Naomi and Hannah

I had the pleasure of photographing my friends Dale and Mhairi's children last week. Little Hannah Rose was born on 26th April in Aberdeen Maternity Hospital, weighing 8lb and 11oz. She is well-loved by her big brother Aaron who is 7 years old and her big sister Naomi who is 3. Naomi is a flower-girl at a wedding I'm shooting later on this week,so look out for more pictures of these wee cuties!

Yerbury Shoot with David & Kirsty

Trevor and Faye Yerbury joined me and fellow photographer (and friend) Scott Winchester for a day's shoot at Pittodrie House recently. Trevor and Faye are world-class, award-winning photographers, and also fantastic teachers. I've know them for a couple of years now, and appreciate the investment of time they've made into helping me develop as a photographer. David and Kirsty (who only met that day) were absolutely fantastic models during the shoot and I can't wait to work with ALL of them again.

Post Wedding Shoot

When Lori and Michael got married on the 16th May, it absolutely poured with rain. So, we decided to book a date when they got back from honeymoon to go to and get some outdoor shots. Michael hired his kilt and Lori got dressed up and was gorgeous as always...and guess what....it POURED again! We couldn't believe it lol. But do you know what? In spite of it being FREEZING cold, we had a fun time, and got some great images which are going to complement Lori and Michael's wedding album beautifully.

(DND) Do Not Disturb

I absolutely love doing DND shoots. The main aim of this kind of photography is to make woman of all ages, shapes and sizes feel good about themselves, and of course, to look as fabulous and sexy as they know they can.

The shoot can be held in the privacy of the woman's own home or in a different venue (if she'd prefer to keep it a secret). A makeup artist and stylist is on hand before the shoot to provide a truly relaxing and pampering experience, then it's over to me to guide and make sure that we capture a series of shots which I know my clients love.

Craig and Natalie

Craig and Natalie got married in Bali on June 1st. Natalie says they were treated like royalty, and the day was all the more romantic as it was just the two of them (and a lot of onlookers they didn't know lol). HOWEVER, they certainly didn't want friends and family to miss out on ALL of the celebrations, and planned a wonderful reception at The Buchan Braes on their return. I joined them for a wee while just before the dancing kicked off and grabbed some fun shots to remember their special day with. Congratulations to both of you!!

Baby Carmen Alex Buchan, two weeks old

I had the pleasure of cuddling, I mean PHOTOGRAPHING :-) little baby Carmen on Sunday. She has the most amazing mop of dark hair and is just beautiful. Dad John (skipper of Ocean Venture) and mum Diane (a nurse) couldn't have been more proud of their darling daughter. And who could blame them :-)

Photography Training in SPAIN :-) SCORCHIO!!

I have just spent a week in Spain learning from some of the greatest in the photography business. Essential subjects such as posing and composition for elegant weddings, bridal bedroom glamour, elegant groups with speed & efficiency and putting the ‘Fashion’ touch to wedding images were all covered. I have LOTS of photographs to show you, but will start with just the basics....and set the scene :-)
