Ede (4 years old) and Codi (14 days old)

I have had such a baby-fest this week......today I'm proud to present Codi Watson, 2 weeks old today and his gorgeous big sister Ede. Codi weighed in at 91b 6oz and is perfect in every single way :-) Congratulations to mum Diane and dad Craig!

Stephanie Amy Forbes, Six Days Old

Beautiful baby Stephanie, born 14th April, 2009 and weighing 8lb 11oz did NOT want to have her pictures taken last night. She knew exactly what we were up to and everytime we lay her down she made the most cute little pouty face and OF COURSE I had to pick her up....

Thanks to mum Julie and dad Mark for being so patient and to Stephanie for being so gorgeous :-)

Alan and Diane

I had a great day photographing the wedding of Alan and Diane Gill in Stonehaven. The service was absolutely beautiful, and there wasn't a dry eye in the house - even the registrar was crying! Congratulations Alan and Diane, and thank you for allowing me to be part of your special day x

Boys will be boys....

I'm not sure what's more exhausting, being a stay-at-home mum or a working-outside-the-home mum. For the last month I've kinda been combining the two and it all came to a head when I set out with my boys AND my camera.....Yikes.

Ashley

I did a(nother) rather random thing the other day....I was drinking coffee in my bro-in-law's coffee house, Symposium (that's not random, I do that EVERYDAY :-), when I spotted this pretty, young girl picking up her order. I figured that she'd be brilliant to photograph, so I grabbed one of my cards and introduced myself. Luckily, she didn't think that I was totally mad and agreed to meet me to discuss a possible shoot. The rest is history - Ashley is a natural, and was great to work with - I can hardly believe that this was her first modelling 'assignment'!

Angela and Andrew

The sun certainly shone for the wedding of Angela and Andrew in Cruden Bay on Saturday, although it definitely was a bit on the breezy side!! Angela arrived back at the house after hair and makeup with only three-quarters of an hour to go to the wedding, but she got ready in a flash, and looked absolutely lovely. Congratulations to you both!

Samantha

On Wednesday I met up with my dear friend and makeup artist Tracy Kane from South Queensferry and gorgeous Samantha Wedderburn from Fraserburgh for a fun photoshoot in the Winter Gardens in Duthie Park, Aberdeen. Hmmm, that sounds like a geography lesson lol. Anyway, we had a great afternoon of shooting, and Samantha looked fantastic. A real star!

London

I was down in London this last weekend visiting my precious mother. She moved to Romania in January, and we decided a girly weekend was in order (plus Paul, my bro-in-law and Ethan, my nephew), so she flew across on Friday and my sisters and I travelled down. Of course, I couldn't leave home without a camera - these were taken with my compact :-)

Coming up for that time of year...

I'm delighted to have had a few enquiries over the last couple of weeks regarding graduation photographs for Summer 2009. Rather than take the pictures back in a studio, I like to travel to the University, College or even meet with family and friends at the graduation meal afterwards. It's great to see the relief and excitement on everyone's faces as they finish one chapter of their life and start another.....ah, I remember it well :-)

Laura in Aberdeen

I had the pleasure of working with Laura doing some portraiture in Aberdeen recently. We wandered round the streets and found many, many interesting places to shoot. Just as well I don't mind looking daft lying on pavements etc! Laura, of course, simply looked lovely - not fair!!
